The Validator details page on the Avalanche Explorer provides in-depth information for a given validator, such as their staking status, BLS details, and validation history.

Validator overview page

Primary Network Validation

Identity Details

Provides specific information about the staking transaction and associated cryptographic details that uniquely identify the validator on the network:

  • Tx Hash: The transaction hash associated with the staking operation.

  • Payout Addresses: The P-Chain Address that will receive the validator staking rewards.

  • BLS Public Key: The 48 byte BLS public key associated with the validator. This key is used for creating verifiable signatures.

  • BLS Signature: The BLS signature for the validator, used to authenticate messages and operations on the network.

Validation

This section provides an overview of the current validation period for the selected validator node. It includes crucial details about the validation status, duration, start and end times, and a countdown timer. Here's a breakdown of the information presented:

  • Status: Indicates whether the validator is currently active or inactive.

  • Duration: The length of the current validation period.

  • Start Date and Time: The exact date and time when the current validation period began.

  • End Date and Time: The exact date and time when the current validation period will end.

  • Countdown Timer: A visual countdown showing the remaining time until the end of the validation period.

  • Progress Bar: A horizontal bar that visually represents the progress of the validation period as a percentage.

Delegation

Details regarding delegation are provided here, showing how other users are delegating their AVAX to this validator:

  • Delegator Count: Total number of delegators staking to validator node.

  • Delegation Fee: The fee percentage charged by the validator for delegation services.

  • Gross Rewards: Total rewards generated from this active validator's delegations

  • Net Rewards: The net rewards for delegators of this active validator (gross rewards minus delegation fees).

  • Delegator Stake: Total stake delegated to this active validator

  • Available Delegator Stake: Available space for potential delegators to stake to this active validator

Stake

Information about the total stake, including the validator's own stake and the combined stake of the validator and delegators:

  • Owned Stake: Total amount this validator has individually staked at the beginning of the validation period

  • Total Stake: Total amount currently staked to this active validator (Delegator stake + Owned Stake).

  • Network Share: Relative to the total stake of the network, the percentage of stake attributed to this validator

Potential Rewards

Estimates of the potential rewards that the validator can earn based on the current staking and delegation:

  • Owned Validator Stake Rewards: Estimated rewards this validator earned through staking owned tokens to the network.

  • Delegation Fee Rewards: Estimated rewards sent to the validator for supporting delegators staking to the validator’s node

  • Total Rewards: Combined rewards from owned stake and delegation fees.

NOTE: Estimated rewards are not guaranteed. Actual rewards may vary.

L1 Validation

This section provides information about the validator's involvement in L1 validation within the Avalanche network. This section appears only if the node was or is currently involved in validating an L1 .

If the node doesn't have an active L1 validation, the latest completed (or removed) validation will show up in this section.

Validation

  • Status: Indicates whether the L1 validation is currently active or inactive.

  • Duration: The length of the L1 validation period.

  • Start Date and Time: The exact date and time when the L1 validation period began.

  • End Date and Time: The exact date and time when the L1 validation period will end.

  • Countdown Timer: A visual countdown showing the remaining time until the end of the L1 validation period.

  • Progress Bar: A horizontal bar that visually represents the progress of the L1 validation period as a percentage.

  • Staking for L1: The L1 for which the validator is providing validation services.

Avalanche L1 Stake

Provides additional details about the L1 validation, including:

  • Tx Hash: The transaction hash associated with the L1 staking operation.

  • Payout Addresses: The address where rewards for L1 validation are paid out.

Stake

Details about the weight or amount of stake used for the L1 validation:

  • Weight: A measure of voting influence of this validator when validating for the L1.

Upcoming Rewards

Provides an overview of the expected rewards for a validator and their delegators. Here's a breakdown of the information presented:

  • Transaction ID: Displays the unique identifier for each transaction related to upcoming rewards.

  • Owners: Lists the addresses associated with each reward transaction.

  • Stake: Shows the amount of AVAX staked by the validator or delegator, which influences the reward calculation.

  • Potential Reward: Indicates the expected reward amount in AVAX for each transaction, based on the staked amount and the validator's performance.

  • Reward Type: Specifies the type of reward, which can be:

    • Validator Fee: A fee collected by validators from their delegators as a percentage of the rewards.

    • Delegator Reward: Rewards given to delegators for staking their AVAX with a validator.

    • Validator Reward: Rewards earned by validators for staking their own AVAX and securing the network.

  • Receive Date: Provides the exact date and time when the reward is scheduled to be distributed.

  • Progress: Displays a visual and percentage representation of how close each reward is to being distributed.

Delegators

Detailed information about the active, pending, or completed delegations associated with a validator.

  • Transaction ID: Displays the unique identifier for the delegation transaction.

  • Payout Address: Shows the address where the delegator's rewards will be paid out.

  • Delegated Amount: Indicates the amount of AVAX delegated by the delegator, along with its equivalent value in USD.

  • Start: The date when the delegation period began.

  • Progress: Displays a visual and percentage representation of how much of the delegation period has been completed.

  • End: The date when the delegation ends.

  • Duration: Specifies the total length of the delegation period.

  • Net Reward: The total reward in AVAX that the delegator is expected to receive after deducting the delegation fee.

  • Delegation Fee Amount: The fee amount charged by the validator for the delegation, displayed in AVAX.

  • Status: Indicates the current status of the delegation, with a checkmark for active delegations.

Validation History

This section provides a comprehensive log of all past and current validation periods for the validator. Here's a breakdown of the information presented:

  • Node ID: Displays the unique identifier for the validator node during each validation period.

  • Start Date: The exact date when the validation period began.

  • End Date: The exact date when the validation period ended or will end.

  • Duration: The total length of each validation period.

  • Progress: A visual and percentage representation of how much of the validation period has been completed.

  • Payout Address: The address where rewards for that particular validation period are paid out.

  • Owned Stake: The amount of AVAX locked in by staking (excludes delegation stake). This is directly proportional to the voting power of this validator when validating for the primary network.

  • Status: The final status of each validation period, indicating whether it is Active, Completed, Pending, or Removed.

Historical Rewards

  • Transaction ID: Displays the unique identifier for each reward transaction.

  • Owners: Lists the addresses associated with each reward transaction.
