The Chrome browser has limitations that only allow users to "prompt" one of the wallets if both are installed. By default, it will access Core. To prevent MetaMask and Core competing in the browser, please check out these potential solutions:

Users can toggle off an extension in Chrome that is not actively being used.
Click on the puzzle piece icon.
Click Manage Extensions.
Click on the toggle of the bottom right of the extension not in use to toggle it on/off

In Chrome, click on the profile icon at the top right of the browser.
Under the Other Profiles section, click + Add.
For simplicity one can select "Continue without an account".
Install one of the extensions on this profile.
