Before starting, understanding the differences between the chains is important, as each serves a different function in regard to staking, NFT, and Defi. Please read the following article if you are not familiar with the differences between the 3 chains.
Once the wallet is created, be sure it’s funded with AVAX.
Send the AVAX to the appropriate chain Wallet. As noted below, there are three different addresses for all 3 chains. The general rule of thumb is assets on C-chain must go to a C-chain address and X-Chain to X-Chain when transferring assets from exchanges and other wallets to the Avalanche wallet.
Once your wallet is funded, click on the “Cross Chain” tab on the left-hand side. This function allows one to move assets from one chain to another (X,P, and C).
Select which chain you would like to send your AVAX to. Each chain on Avalanche has its own functionality and rulesets, which you can review here.
If for any reason, your transaction gets stuck, navigate to the Advanced tab and you can import your stuck transaction into the correct place.
