All Fuji nodes must upgrade before 11 AM ET, October 29th 2025.
This release schedules the activation of the following Avalanche Community Proposals (ACPs):
ACP-181 P-Chain Epoched Views: Introduces a standard P-Chain epoching scheme that lets VMs know the next block’s P-Chain height in advance, improving validator set retrieval efficiency without changing the P-Chain VM itself.
ACP-204 Precompile for secp256r1 Curve Support: Adds a new precompiled contract on the C-Chain for secp256r1 (P-256) signature verification, enabling faster, cheaper native support for WebAuthn, biometric, and device-based authentication.
ACP-226 Dynamic Minimum Block Times: Proposes a new dynamic mechanism for Avalanche EVM chains where validators collectively set the minimum time between blocks, replacing the current fixed rate-limiting approach.
The ACPs in this upgrade go into effect at 11 AM ET (3 PM UTC) on Wednesday, October 29th, 2025 on the Fuji testnet.
