This upgrade consists of the following Avalanche Community Proposal (ACP):

  • ACP-176 Dynamic EVM Gas Limits and Price Discovery Updates: Proposes that the C-Chain and Subnet-EVM chains adopt a dynamic fee mechanism similar to the one introduced on the P-Chain as part of ACP-103, with modifications to allow for block proposers (i.e. validators) to dynamically adjust the target gas consumption per unit time.

  • Added ProposerVM block timestamp metrics: avalanche_proposervm_last_accepted_timestamp

  • Added network health check to alert if a primary network validator has no ingress connections. Runs a configurable time after startup or 10 minutes by default.
